Hull brings Minister to Junee
National Party Member for Riverina Kay Hull today brought Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Larry Anthony to Junee to meet with local community leaders and discuss issues affecting young people in the area.
“By bringing the Minister to Junee to discuss issues affecting our young people it allows the communities of Junee and the Riverina the opportunity to voice their opinion and have it heard by the relevant Minister,” Mrs Hull said.
“It’s so important for our young people to know myself and the Federal Government are listening to their concerns and enjoy days like today where we can sit down and talk to these young adults who are this country’s future.”
Mr Anthony said Australia’s young people have much to be proud of.
“They have never been better educated, in better health or more involved in the community. However, there are some who need assistance and there are a range of services funded by the Government to help them,” Mr Anthony said.
“It is important that young people are supported by the whole community. The meeting in Junee today shows that there is a lot of interest and concern about the future prospects of young people in this area.
“It is also important for me to meet with people working on the ground to hear first hand their views.
“Kay Hull is a very effective representative in Canberra for the young people and families of this area. She is committed to ensuring that there are quality services for the people of Riverina,” Mr Anthony said.
