Centrelink arrangements over Easter
Centrelink has made special arrangements over Easter to ensure customers are not disadvantaged by the holidays, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Larry Anthony, said today.
“Payments that are made automatically to customers will not be delayed by the holidays.
“Some customers will receive their payments early. To minimise disruption to budgeting patterns, early payments are advanced by as few working days as possible. Customers will not be paid again until their next usual payday after Easter.
“Customers who need to return forms prior to receiving payment, such as Newstart and Youth Allowance customers, will be sent a special yellow form that can be returned earlier than usual.
“Customers should check their yellow form carefully for information on the earliest date that it can be returned.
“All Centrelink Customers should note that Centrelink offices and call centres will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday,” Mr Anthony said.
The latest information on government payments and services is available on the Centrelink website.
