Centrelink seminars for Ansett staff

CENTRELINK is holding information seminars around the country this week for workers affected by the suspension of Ansett Airlines services, Minister for Community Services Larry Anthony said today.

“Although the future employment of many workers remains uncertain, the Government is ensuring Ansett staff are well informed about assistance they may be eligible for from Centrelink.

“The seminars will also be an opportunity for people to register an intent to claim so they can be paid income support from the earliest possible date, should that be necessary,” Mr Anthony said.

Centrelink Seminars for Ansett Workers

Seminars will also be held in Townsville, Rockhampton, Cairns, Gladstone and Mt Isa at a time to be confirmed. People wishing to attend these seminars should drop into their local offices to book a place.
