Case studies to help disability employment providers
Minister for Community Services, Larry Anthony, today released a collection of case studies that will help disability employment service providers face the challenges of running their services.
“Improving Performance – Good Practices for the Future illustrates the challenges and issues faced by those employment providers for people with disabilities, known as Business Services.
“The case studies also provide information on dealing with the pressures of operating a successful business while providing quality employment for people with disabilities.
“The case studies are a result of the Business Services Review – a joint initiative with ACROD and the Department of Family and Community Services.
“The Review highlighted the need for Business Services to keep up to date with industry and business developments to ensure they remain competitive within the market place.
“This publication is the starting point in this process,” Mr Anthony said.
The case studies will be distributed to all disability employment agencies funded by the Department of Family and Community Services and is available on the website.
