New South Australia child care places
Federal Minister for Community Services, Larry Anthony, today announced funding for an extra 267 child care places in South Australia.
Mr Anthony said the places would be spread across seven outside school hours care services.
“These additional places will allow new services to open in Yankalilla, Croydon Park and Pooraka,” Mr Anthony said.
“Outside school hours care services provide care for children before and after school, and during school holidays to help parents balance the demands of work and family.
“These new places will help to ensure that South Australian families have access to quality child care services.
“The Government’s child care program promotes equal access for all families to child care services that suit their lifestyle.
“It is essential that families are able to access subsidised child care when schools are not operating.
“This funding demonstrates the Government’s commitment to providing all Australian families with access to the child care services which best meet their individual needs.”
