Government Welcomes Federal Court’s Decision
The Acting Minister for Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, John Cobb has welcomed the Federal Court’s decision to confirm the appointment of an administrator at Mutitjulu in the Northern Territory.
The Administrator was appointed by the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations on 19th July 2006. The appointment was challenged in the Federal Court. The Administrator, however, has been in place while awaiting the Court’s decision.
Now the decision has been made the community can move on with certainty and the Government will continue to work in the best interests of all the residents of Mutitjulu.
