Have your say on equal opportunity for women at work

Employees are invited to air their views on equal opportunity for women in their workplace in a new Australian Government survey.

The five-minute online employee survey is part of public consultations for the Review of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999.

I encourage employees to complete the online survey to ensure their voices are heard.

The Government is keen to hear from a broad section of the community as we examine the effectiveness and efficiency of the Act.

It is important both women and men tell us how they perceive equal opportunity for women in the workplace and how it may be improved.

The employee survey complements a public submissions process, a survey of reporting organisations, roundtable discussions and individual interviews with key stakeholders.

The survey consists of five questions and it completely confidential; respondents are not asked to reveal their identity or workplace.

The survey closes on 30 October 2009.
