New disability job provider panel
A new panel of Disability Employment Service (DES) providers is being established to help people with disability find and keep jobs.
The Hon Jane Prentice, Assistant Minister for Social Services and Disability Services, has invited those with experience in delivering disability employment services to register their interest.
Registration is compulsory for businesses wishing to deliver DES from 1 July 2018 and current providers are welcome to register.
“Only those organisations that register their interest will be invited to apply to join the new panel through a restricted grant application process next month,” Mrs Prentice said.
“The panel will be delivering the new DES program announced in the May Budget which aims to improve outcomes for participants, providers, and employers.
“Organisations will be able to nominate their preferences for the type of service and locations where they plan to deliver DES in the future,” Mrs Prentice said.
The DES program provides specialist employment services to assist people with disability, injury or a health condition find and retain employment in the open labour market and provides support to employees with disability and their employers.
To register, organisations need to complete the Registration of Interest form on the Department of Social Services, Community Grants Hub website.
Registrations close 2pm, (AEST) 29 August 2017. For more information visit the DSS Engage website.
